Welcome to Saskatoon on the Canadian prairies and the 8th International Workshop on High-Aspect-Ratio Micro-Structure Technology, HARMST 2009.
For the first time ever in Canada, oral and poster presentations at the 3-4 day workshop as well as short courses will cover all aspects of design, modeling, fabrication, testing, and applications in high aspect ratio micro- and nanotechnology.
Whether you are an established expert in the field, a dedicated user of non-HARMST micro- and nanotechnologies (MNT), or interested in applications that might benefit from miniaturization, consider attending HARMST 2009
- to learn about HARMST opportunities and challenges, and their interfaces with other MNT
- to contribute your experience to the HARMST community
- to discuss latest research results
- to connect with participants from academia and industry.
The call for abstracts is out, and the deadline is January 25th, 2009. Please visit our website for updates.
In the name of the HARMST Technical Advisory Committee, the Local Organizing Committee, and the conference co-chair David Klymyshyn, I would be glad to welcome you to Saskatoon upcoming June.
Sincerely, Sven Achenbach
